The Promise that You’ll Make It

SCRIPTURE REFERENCES:   Hebrews 3:1; 6 (whole chapter)

God has made you to make it

We are Christ’s present day ministry.

He walked on earth to show us how and what to do. Now we continue His ministry here on earth to finish what He started.

God will do for you what you will speak He can do. Likewise the devil will do those things you speak he can do. (If you’re not speaking what God can do in your life then you’re speaking what the devil can) Watch your words.

Direction:  “Put your left hand on your left temple. Now put your right hand on the right temple. Now say, ‘ Aha!! I’ve just found the majority of my problems’”

A born-again Christian cannot “lose” their salvation by sinning. People miss it and mess up. We make mistakes- we’re not Christ. BUT! You can give it away. When you dismiss it and don’t keep trying.

God has more faith in you than you do in yourself. Verse 9

Patience is not that you don’t make mistakes… it’s that you get up and try again. Verse 12

When you feel alone and don’t think you’re going to make it- that’s when God sends you someone to tell you that you can. When you start to realize that you can make it will be when all the forces of hell try to convince you that you can’t. Don’t listen to them- listen to God.   Phil 1:6, Psalm 57:2, Psalm 138:7-8

What about those who do not make it? For example, a clinically depressed woman, menaing her brain does not produse needed chemicals to function normally and make reasonable decisions, commits a suicide. Did she fail because her faith was too weak?
Or – a three year old playing on the side walk is killed by a drunk driver who fell asleep by the wheel and ran off the road. The girl was too young to make the conscious decision to follow Jesus and was too young to understand the promises you are talking about.
    Where does this leave them?

I don’t have answers for your questions. I only have the notes that I wrote above. If I don’t hold onto what the Word says then what do I have? Nothing.

    Thanks for the comment.
