So I just finished reading Crazy Love by Francis Chan (http://crazylovebook.com/) and I highly recommend it. One of the many things that he said that stood out to me was that many of us Christians expect Jesus to follow us instead of following Him.
Is that you?
Let’s find out:
Do you find yourself living life and adding prayer, Bible reading, being the hands and feet of Jesus, and going to church?
Do you find it hard to pray for more than 5-10 minutes?
Does your giving consist of giving tithes (1/10th of your earnings) and the occasional extra change from your wallet or purse?
If God told you to sell your house and downsize so that you can help those in need in your area of influence, would you do it?
Would you even know what it sounds like to hear God say that?
If you answered ‘yes’ to any of the above, chances are you are expecting Jesus to follow you in your life. And if that’s the case, I challenge you, find an abundant life like I have – Seek God with all your heart, at every moment, and let Him truly be the Leader, you the follower.
Your life will never be the same!
Blessings & shalom,
“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6
